....except: sometimes one might display respect only, as a sign of a very big love, and even give up the 'love' - as a sign of a a real real bigger understanding of love and of the person within the big picture ...e.g., Ingmar Bergman (Wild Strawberries..) - or Pablo Neruda "I don't love you except because I love you".. and so on... one notion does not make the other one redundant..interesant...
